There had been a surge in the financial crimes globally, especially in the post pandemic era. Most Organisations and agencies are struggling to keep themselves safe from these crimes in the real and cyber world. Our client is the market leader in its space and a large multinational solutions provider to help organisations to fight financial crime, risk, and compliance. With the surge in these financial crimes and the urge for the organisations to fight back and keep themselves safe proactively, there had been a sudden and exponential increase in client engagements in the APAC Region. Client not only wants to implement the right solutions, but they also want them NOW.
With the exponential surge in the number of project wins, and to meet the deliverables and timelines of various projects and client engagements, the solutions provider needed more members to add to their team.
They faced challenges on multiple fronts to be able to onboard the new members. One that getting approval of the permanent headcounts internally was a big challenge. Next big challenge was to identify, onboard and train the right resources. On top of that, with the tightening of processing of employment passes in Singapore was another major challenge for the company.
The client engaged Digital Business People to build a team at onsite in Singapore and Australia covering –
Digital Business People after few rounds of discussion with the client understood that it was not possible to find people in Singapore who may working experience on Actimize platforms. It was also understood that we can focus on few kind of profiles like, consultants with working experience on any competitor’s platforms, working experience in the RegTech platforms, working experience in the BFSI sector with some exposure in the RegTech projects or supporting users in the space.
DBP started the search in the region to find the right members who could fit well in various roles, they have positive attitude towards learning and working as they may have to work on multiple projects in parallel.
The initial two rounds of screening were handled by the DBP recruitment team to ensure client get the skills they are looking for with the minimum number of candidates. This also helped ensuring that identification and onboarding timeline could be shorten as much as possible as timelines for the team to be able to start working on the project was very tight. DBP was given a time to 2 months to get the team onboarded and another month for their training on the Actimize platform.
DBP’s staff augmentation team worked round the clock to identify people from various countries. The right candidates were onboarded from Singapore, Sri Lanka and India to fill the resource needs. Their respective employment passes were processed with Ministry of Manpower in Singapore and PRs in Australia and they were onboarded within the requested and agreed timelines.
After a successful onboarding of all required resources, they were put on a month of training. The trainings on both the platform and client engagements were tailor-made based on their role and responsivities. The team completed their certifications on the platform and to comply with the company’s internal policies.
The team was identified, screened, shortlisted, selected, onboarded within 2 months of tight timelines. Training and certification were also completed within 1 month of allocated timeline. The team was aligned on various projects based on various project stage and requirements. They are continuing on the engagement with the client with great success and some very positive feedback on their technical learning, skills and attitude to manage client engagements, timelines and quality of deliverables.
